New Delhi: The central government is now going to make the mid-day meal scheme associated with the schools more transparent. The government has formulated a plan to make mid-day meals more transparent and to prevent crippling and scandal. Under this scheme, now all the states will have to declare the correct number of beneficiaries of the mid day meal scheme every month.
The financial assistance of the state who will not disclose the true number of beneficiaries will be stopped. Under this scheme, instead of showing the true and specific number of beneficiaries, the average number was shown not only, but the average number of beneficiaries of the state was sent to three to six months.
Thus, by getting the average number of beneficiaries, financial assistance from the state center was obtained. According to officials associated with the scheme of the central government, the average number of states used to be in the name of Bhojpura during the mid-day meal.
Now the mid-day meals are being tried as transparent as the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. For this, the state has to give a specific number of beneficiary children linked with support every month.
The government's intention behind this is that any needy child will not be deprived of the benefits of this scheme. Also, an additional break from the state by showing more number will now take immediate break. The financial assistance which will fail to show the number of RAJ beneficiaries on the basis of the support card will be stopped.
In addition to this, the government has started working towards making a social audit to improve mid-day meal quality.
